PROCEDURE FOR IMPORT OF SANITARY EQUIPMENT

Regarding commodity policies, sanitary ware will no longer have to certify and announce the conformity before clearance according to the Circular No. 10/2017 / TT-BXD dated September 29, 2017 of the Ministry of Construction. Thus, items such as faucets, showers, bathtubs, sinks or toilets, when imported, need to be submitted as normal customs documents.

Procedure for import of sanitary equipment

After learning about import policies, businesses often care about taxes. Taxes on this type of goods will include import duties and 10% VAT, you can look in the import and export tariff. Sanitary ware products, depending on the characteristics and materials, select the appropriate HS code. ASC Logistics will cite some basic HS codes:

- If the imports are sinks, washbasins, iron or steel tubs, refer to subheading 7324 - sanitary ware and parts thereof made of iron or steel. Goods in this subgroup, import tax is quite high, mainly at 20% or 35%.

- If imported goods are sinks, washbasins, plastic or plastic showers, refer to subheading 3922. Import duties of goods in this subheading are mainly 22% or 25%.

- If imported goods are lavabo sinks, bathtubs, washbasins, bidets, toilets, flushing jars, urinals and other similar sanitary products made of ceramic, porcelain It is advisable to refer to subheading 6910 with import tax of 35%.
